During May I was able to meet up with Walks with Thunder, a Native American non-traditional shaman, who is a long-term member of this community. He is kind, humorous and amazingly gifted. I realized, after the event how much he had taught me in two short meetings. [It is a bit distracting, that when you are outside with him, you become aware of small figures with shiny wings that keep flying past at about knee height. He says they are always there but you only get to see them in his presence. It worked for me.]
Walks with Thunder, among other teaching programs, runs some radio shows. He showed me the details of a listener from Florida, during their big fires in May, who had phoned and asked for "two inches of rain on my house tomorrow" - along with pictures from the Weather Service radar showing clouds changing direction and going straight toward her home and a rainfall report showing just over two inches of rain in the area. If one person can do this - each of us has the potential to do it!
You should visit the website
www.walkswiththunder.com as there is much to learn. If you have the opportunity to buy one of his Thunderbird pendants, let me tell you they are very powerful, they attract abundance, offer protection [anyone who intends evil toward you will have it turned back on themselves] and a range of other gifts. Mine, and the two I brought back, are so powerful that for the first four nights you cannot sleep wearing them, until you become comfortable in their presence.
A lesson I did learn from Walks with Thunder, and the healing seminar I attended, was that we [if we will allow it] have the ability to change, or select from different, potential futures. This is what rainmaking is about - to change a potential future that is dry to a potential future that has life-giving rain falling. We have been, as a community, not doing very much lately and wasting our potential. Each day there are opportunities, always with the guidelines; "causing harm to none" and "for the greater good of all" to bless a dry area with rain or to talk with the clouds and move a storm away from damaging an area. If you will do this, your next step will be to begin changing your own potential future on a daily basis. Select a future tomorrow that does not have pain in it, or has you brimming with self-confidence. If your experience, so far, of rainmaking has lacked dramatic successes I suggest that in your meditation and intentions you ask the question "May I borrow the rainmaking skills of Walks with Thunder to bless [name of area] with life-giving rain." Keep a record of your results and share them with us. I want you to have success in this area of service - and your life.
